Cookery for Athletes (half day)
Perfect for those who want to learn how to use food as part of a training and competition schedule.
Your half day course (3 hours) will start at either 10.00 for the morning session or 14.00 for the afternoon session. With our support you'll cook delicious meals and you're guaranteed to learn some handy new kitchen skills, so you can leave with the confidence to recreate your tasty meals at home.
Courses are based on the premise that nutrition intake should be enjoyable as well as advantageous. It should enhance performance, help reduce injury risk and taste fantastic.
Using produce from local suppliers, the emphasis is on cooking fresh, seasonal dishes that taste delicious, are simple to prepare and support your body. By the end of the course, you will:
Learn how to balance your macronutrient intake and adapt recipes depending on your training and competition schedule
Have cooked a nutritious main dish with a side dish plus a guilt free dessert - ready to take home and feed two people
Have the confidence to cook your dishes again at home - and adapt them to create different meals
Understand which seasonal produce is currently available and why it is nutritionally advantageous
Take home a recipe pack for all dishes made during the session
