The Mediterranean Diet in Clinical Practice
Time & Location
About the event
Suggested to be a dietary panacea, a Mediterranean diet has attracted much attention since it was first studied as part of Ancel Keys’ Seven Countries study in the 1960s. High in fruit, vegetables and wholegrains with limited animal-based foods, this talk will assess the evidence relating to the diet, its mechanisms of action, which patients might benefit from a Mediterranean dietary approach, and how it might be integrated into your clinical practice. Additionally, we’ll look at some of the down sides of the diet and offer suggestions for behavioural change support to increase patient adherence.
Part of Litfield House Medical Centre’s Programme "Third Series of GP CPD Zoom Lectures" events are very popular, so to avoid disappointment please contact Victoria Gee on email@example.com to confirm your place. If you think any of your colleagues or General Practitioner friends would also be interested in attending Litfield House's Educational events feel free to send them this link so they can register their details too: https://mailchi.mp/bf6018c44f61/gp-lecture-signup
